The delicate process involves carefully cutting & engraving marble shapes by hand. One of the things that make the Taj Mahal so wondrously special is the marble inlay work you find on it. To begin with, a predefined pattern floral or geometrical design is engraved on the marble slab. After this, small pieces of Precious & Semi Precious stones of different shades are cut delicately and precisely to fit into these grooves. Apart from marble, many other materials can also be used to adorn the marble inlay spaces. Material Used: The types of natural stones normally used for inlay on marble: Green Malachite, Yellow Tiger Eye, Red Coral, Brown Jasper, Blue Lapis lazuli, Green Aventurine, Black Onyx, Sky Blue Turquoise (Firoza), Abalone Shell, White Mother of Pearl, etc. Polish it up: Once the inlay work is completed & has dried, it’s time for the surface & edges to be polished and shined. In order to give it a shine that lasts for decades, the polish work is done using a stone bar. It is now ready-to-go. Marble is translucent, so an LED underneath the marble can make it glow. Also the marble is non porous so can be practically used as a small Side Table, Lazy Susan, Hot Plate, Etc. Shipping is available worldwide by FedEx / DHL .
